I'm REALLY etching to purchase the new ZT-3, but i read up and did my research. These new steny's are being produced in Korea...with that noted does that effect its overall quality?

Thanks,

Matt

Good news and bad news.  Good news is that the ZT3 is truly AMAZING!!!  Bad news is that the Korea production does effect the quality and these instruments are CONSIDERABLY lower quality than the original pieces made by Ned.  You wont find as many flaws on the ZT3 as the Synapse instruments however be prepared for an instrument that is significantly less the the original masterpieces :(

I have had a ZT3 in red, black and blue and found the red to be my favorite color of the three.  Very, very, VERY beautiful!

Have you watched the PBS interview of Ned from the 1980's?  A must see!

Thanks man! See, the only GM4S's were able to find..and by find i mean ORIGINALS. one was a 1987 i think? Is from Italy and pretty banged up..and with over seas shipping and untrustworthy people..well you get the picture!

I think I'm going to purchase the ZT-3, maybe change the pickups..I'm really not sure yet but I guess I can cope with the asthetic part

Yeah, I might know somone that has one if you are interested I can ask.  There are collectors here in the US that have a variety of classic pre-gibson pieces.

Best of luck to ya!
