Steinberger

Born in Philadelphia, now living in Bangkok, I'm Head of the English Dept. of Dhurakij Pundit U. I've played bass since 1987, and have loved the XL-2 since I first saw it. Alas, I have never owned one. I am and play LEFT-HANDED, so instrument purchases have never been spontaneous.

However, I have a drummer friend who lives on Phuket Island, and I need a good travel bass. Now is the time to get the ultimate - a real Steinberger - better 20 years late than never. Frankly, I would simply buy the Synapse, but as far as I know, they do not make a lefty. So there you have it. I'm finally ready to join the club.

Exactly 20 years later, I have joined the club. I just bought a 1990 XL2A-L Serial #7524 from Don Greenwald at HeadlessUSA. It is currently being set up by Jeff Babicz and will come to Thailand with a family member (as carry-on, thank you very much!).
